Family Style Meatloaf - Living The Gourmet



When you want to have a cozy dinner at home, this family style meatloaf recipe is a great choice. This meatloaf is made with ground beef, onions, garlic, and tasty spices, and the whole family is sure to love it.

Ingredients:

  • 2 lbs ground beef
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley

Instructions:

Preheat oven to 350F 175C

In a large bowl, combine ground beef, onion, garlic, breadcrumbs, eggs, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, thyme, oregano, salt, pepper, and parsley

Mix until well combined

Transfer the mixture to a baking dish and shape into a loaf

Bake in the preheated oven for 1 hour, or until cooked through and browned on top

Remove from the oven and let it rest for 10 minutes before slicing

Serve slices of meatloaf with your favorite side dishes and enjoy!

Stuffed Orange Ice Cream



This refreshing ice cream combines the citrusy flavor of oranges with the creamy richness of a classic ice cream base, creating a delightful treat that's perfect for hot summer days.

Ingredients:

  • 6 oranges
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions:

Scoop out the flesh from the top quarter of each orange to make orange cups

Take the orange juice out of the strainer and set it aside

Mix sugar, vanilla extract, salt, heavy cream, and whole milk in a bowl until the sugar is gone

Add the orange juice that you saved

Put the mixture into an ice cream maker and churn it according to the machine's directions until it gets thick

Put the churned ice cream into the orange cups that have been set up

Put plastic wrap over it and freeze for about 4 hours, or until it's firm

Enjoy! Serve cold

Ingredients:

  • 1 pizza dough store-bought or homemade
  • 1/2 cup sun-dried tomatoes, sliced
  • 1 cup mushrooms, thinly sliced
  • 1/2 cup pizza sauce
  • 1 1/2 cups mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 1 cup fresh arugula
  • 2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar

Bake the pizza in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is bubbly and slightly browned

While the pizza is baking, in a small bowl, whisk together the balsamic vinegar and olive oil

Season with salt and pepper to taste

Remove the pizza from the oven and let it cool slightly for a minute or two
